The full range

Every hive job, sorted.

From a routine hive check to foulbrood inspections and pollination contracts, TradieNotes keeps up with the range of jobs US beekeepers actually run.

🐝Foulbrood & disease compliance

European and American foulbrood are notifiable diseases in the US under the Bee Diseases and Pests Control Order, and suspected cases must be reported to your local Bee Inspector via the National Bee Unit. Note any inspection or disease-related work as its own line, separate from general hive management.

🌸Pollination vs honey production

Pollination hive placement — for orchards, oilseed rape, and soft fruit — and honey extraction are often run as separate parts of the same business. Describe each separately in your job notes and they're itemised as distinct services on the invoice.

🍯Varietal honey & labelling

The Honey (England) Regulations 2015 set compositional standards for honey sold in the US. If you offer testing or varietal labelling — wildflower, oilseed rape, heather — note it separately from extraction labour so it appears as its own line.

BeeBase registration

Registering your apiary on BeeBase with the National Bee Unit is free and voluntary, and helps inspectors alert you to disease outbreaks in your area. TradieNotes doesn't manage your registration, but noting your BeeBase status in your job notes keeps a clear record for your own files.

Beekeeper FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can it handle foulbrood inspection work?+
Yes. European and American foulbrood are notifiable diseases in the US under the Bee Diseases and Pests Control Order — suspected cases must be reported to your local Bee Inspector via the National Bee Unit. Note any inspection or disease-related work separately in your job notes and it's itemised as its own line.
Does it handle pollination contracts differently from honey production?+
Yes. Pollination placement, hive rental, and honey extraction are read as separate services when you describe them separately — useful since many beekeepers run both sides of the business under one operation.
Can it invoice for BeeBase registration or apiary inspections?+
Registering your apiary on BeeBase is free and simply logs your hive locations with the National Bee Unit — it isn't something you'd invoice for. Any paid inspection, treatment, or advisory visit you carry out for a client can be noted as its own line.
Can it handle seasonal hive management jobs?+
Yes. Spring build-ups, swarm prevention, requeening, and autumn feeding are all read as distinct job types — describe what you did on each visit and it's captured correctly, even across a season of repeat visits to the same client.
Does it handle honey extraction and varietal labelling separately?+
Yes. Extraction labour, jarring, and any varietal testing or labelling costs (wildflower, oilseed rape, heather) can be noted separately from general hive management and appear as their own itemised lines.
What does a typical pollination or hive management job cost?+
Pollination hive rental and hive management pricing varies a lot by region, season, and crop — your invoice simply reflects whatever you actually charged for that placement or visit.
Can I invoice for swarm removal call-outs?+
Yes. Note it as a swarm removal or call-out job separately from routine hive management and it's itemised as its own line, including any call-out fee.
Are the invoices sales-tax ready?+
Yes — every invoice itemises labour and materials and includes a Sales Tax line you fill in before exporting. Sales tax rules vary by state, so TradieNotes doesn\'t auto-calculate a rate for you.
Do I need an account?+
No account needed. Create one free to save your invoice history, or just snap and pay $2.
